St. George Trip

All of the girls on Colby's side of the family went on a little trip to St. George. Colby has an aunt that lives there and we all stayed with her and enjoyed a short escape. We were hoping to leave winter behind us and experience a touch of spring, but that wasn't exactly how it all worked out. We left on Thursday evening after work and ended up getting almost to Fillmore when we we hit a whiteout blizzard. So unfortunately we didn't make it all the way to St. George that night and we ended up staying the night in a little hotel in Scipio (I had never heard of the city, but from now on I will never forget it). It wasn't the funnest thing dragging our bags inside with no men to help in the middle of a blizzard....Then the next morning we packed up and finished the drive. So we ended up getting to Aunt Kim's house at like 1:30 in the afternoon. Our Friday plans were basically shot and we just ended up going out for dinner. Saturday we did some swimming at Colby's grandma's place she has down there and then went shopping at the outlets and ate dinner at the Pizza Factory. Sunday we packed up and drove home. It was a quick trip but a good little escape. And it was nice to see green grass! I don't know what it is, but for some reason when I see the palm trees I really do feel like I am on vacation. It was fun staying up late talking and playing games. I am lucky to be a part of a family where we all get along and can be comfortable and just have fun together. Thanks for the great time girls!
